For anyone who hasn’t been on a bunk barn trip before:
The weekend is a social event for Harriers. We stay in a cosy bunkhouse in the dales- spend the days either running trails, walking, cycling or other outdoor activities, and each evening we have a pub meal at a nearby inn.
There are great local pubs. I’ll send round some menus nearer the time so we can order meals in advance.
There will be various walks, rides and runs organised for Saturday and Sunday. There is usually a group who cycle to the barn and back, too.
All you need is a sleeping bag, running shoes, beer money and sense of adventure. It’s a great chance to get to know other members of the Harriers and spend time in a fabulous location doing the things we love!

The 2020 Ladies Bunk Barn had to be cancelled but we have now arranged a booking for 2021. It will be a two night stay from Friday 17th September 2021 and leaving the barn on the morning of Sunday 19th September 2021. It is at Stackstead Farm near Ingleton and is limited to 20 places. The cost will be approximately £40.00 (plus food and hire of the swimming pool) depending on how many ladies attend. There are a limited number of spaces still available.
