Many Halifax Harriers now regularly compete in the exciting sport of Triathlon – it’s a great way of cross training, and the swimming and cycle disciplines mean you can keep training when running injuries would normally keep you off the road.
Distances vary from short 'Super Sprint' events right through to 'Ironman' distance, though Sprint (400m swim, 20K bike and 5K run) and Standard/Olympic (1500m swim, 40K bike and 10K run) distances are the most common.
There are races for all age groups starting from just 8 years old! Why not join the growing band of Harriers who take part. If you'd like any info, have a word with any of the triathletes at the club.
Many members compete in the Triathlon each year.
