League championship

For the first year we will have 2 Trophies to present. The 2009 / 2010 league is a mixture of local races which helps us support local clubs, as well as 1 or 2 further a field. The races vary in distance, ranging from 5K up to 15 miles.

The series comprises 14 races, of which each individuals best 8 scores will count. Scoring will be as follows:

• First Harrier to finish gets 20 points, second 17 points and third 15 points
• Scoring then drops by one point per place
  i.e. fourth = 14 points, right down to fourteenth place = 4pts.
• All other finishers get 3 points.

The winner will be the individual who obtains the highest number of points from their best 8 races.

The 2 trophies are as follows:

• Open age league - Will be done on a first past the post scoring system as above
• Vets league (age 35 and over) will be done using the WAVA age grading tables. With individuals given an age grade rating based on an individuals age and time. The highest WAVA score would receive 20 points , second 17 pts etc (as above).
