500 members!

Halifax Harriers invite all prospective members to train with them for a trial period of 4 weeks.

Joseph O'Grady, who attends St Mary's Primary School, therefore went along to the 8 to 10 years training group. He was surprised to find 6 more pupils from his school and 6 of his football club team already training with the Harriers. After his trial period he decided to join the Harriers and became the 500th person to do so in 2009. To celebrate this milestone he was presented with a club vest by Brian Burgin, Halifax Harriers Club President.

Since the opening of the new athletics track at Spring Hall in March 2007 the membership of the club has increased from 250 members in 2006 to 500 members in September 2009.
