Halifax Harriers Athletics Club was formed in 1884. We are members of the North of England Athletic Association (NoEAA) affiliated for Track and Field, Cross Country, Road and Fell running. Runner's world were so impressed with our club that we were awarded their club of the year 2009

Kate Wasyliw won the gold medal in the U15 girls 60m sprint in the Aviva England Age Group Championships held at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham over the weekend at her first attempt. Kate set a new lifetime best of 7.80 seconds and was narrowly beaten into 4th in the 200m final the following day in what appeared to be a dead heat for third, but she was given a time just 0.01 seconds slower than the 3rd placed runner.
