U15s Cross Country

The under 15 boys got their cross country season off to a great start, with Sam Kerfoot-Roberts, Joe Crossfield and Gareth Burrell taking the 4th team prize.

Sam finished in 4th place overall in a swift 15.21, just 17 seconds behind the race winner. Callum Hanson then completed a great days racing for the lads finishing soon after.

Olivia Bates was the sole representative for the under 15 girls and put in a spirited performance for the Harriers completing the course in 15.25.

Two U15 girls made the trip to Bramley for the second race of the season, and both performed well over the fast but tough course. Hannah Pilkington was 22nd in 15.13 and Emily Cook was 39th in 17.52.

The U15 boys were out in force and had a great day taking 3rd team overall. Sam Kerfoot-Roberts showed he's certainly in form by taking 4th place in a field of 56, just 21 seconds behind the race winner.

Emerging fell talent Joe Crossfield (19th), Michael Gaughan (22nd) and Gareth Burrell (33rd) all supported Sam once again in the team prize with more great performaces, closely followed by Chris Sage, talented sprinter Kieran Royston and Chris Gladwyn who all made their first outing to the cross country and will hopefully continue their support.

At York, we had three U15 girls running which meant we could gain a team place. Hannah Pilkington (12.39) finished just ahead of Olivia Bates (13.31), closely followed by Emily Cook (14.12), giving the girls 6th team place.

Six U15 lads turned out at York, and Sam Kerfoot-Roberts had a fantastic race, finishing in 2nd place a mere 4 seconds behind the race winner. Joe Crossfield was next in in 13.44, followed by Gareth Burrell (13.58), Michael Gaughan (14.09), Chris Sage (14.10) and Chris Gladwyn (14.28). The lads took a great 4th team place.
