U11s Cross Country
There was a superb turnout by the under 11 girls at the first race of the cross country season. It was a very competitive race with all 6 Halifax girls finishing very closely after the race winner, and the girls team of Claudia Lees, Scarlett Lake and Hannah Walker took a superb 3rd team place overall. Emma Sutcliffe, Georgia White and Holly Crossfield also ran well flying the flag for the Harriers. Cameron Lake was the sole Halifax representative in the under 11s boys race, and completed the course in 9.19. Race 2 at Bramley Park was again very well represented by our U11 girls, and Claudia Lees (8th), Caroline Johnson (9th) and Olivia Holmes (11th) gained another superb 3rd team place for the Harriers. Georgia White, Scarlett Lake and Holly Crossfield were just a matter of seconds behind, and in fact all six girls finished in times between 6 and 7 minutes! 5 U11 boys turned out for the second race and also gained a well earned 3rd team place. Daniel Beadsley (8th), Cameron Lake (24th), Jack Crummett (26th) and Jason Beadsley (29th) made up the team, with Adam Armstrong finishing just 15 seconds later. Race 3 was once again well attended by the club's under 11s. The girls took 3rd team place for the third race in a row, led home by Caroline Johnson in 8th with a time of 6.50 closely followed by Hannah Walker just one second later! Claudia Lees made up the team place, and Scarlett Lake, Olivia Holmes and Holly Crossfield all put in a great performance for the girls. Daniel Beadsley was first home for the lads finishing in 21st place. Cameron Lake, Adam Armstrong and Joseph Beadsley made up the team - the lads taking 5th team place overall.
